
LAKESHORE OWNER’S RIPARIAN RIGHTS AND DUTIES
Minnesota Riparian Rights and Privileges are those Rights which arise from the fact that someone owns lakeshore property. Minnesota Riparian Rights include the right to have a dock, can use the water for domestic and agriculture purposes, to fish, hunt or swim on the whole surface of the water.
Public Riparian Rights are those Rights and Privileges that Minnesota has established for those lake areas that have a public road abutting a body of water, the Public is allowed to fish, hunt, swim and launch a boat.

Owner can not dike off, drain, fence off any part of the body of water.
