Lake Edward is located approximately eight miles north of Brainerd.  The east side of the lake can be reached by driving on County Road 3.  The west side of the lake is located on County Road 4.

The general characteristics of Lake Edward are: lake area- 2,032 acres, littoral area 1,198 acres, maximum depth is 75 ft.  

Fish include black crappie, bluegill, bowfin, bullhead, common carp, green sunfish, hybrid sunfish , largemouth bass, northern pike, rock bass, walleye, white sucker, and yellow perch.

Like most lakes in the area, Lake Edward has a DNR installed lake access that is located on the west side of the lake off of County Road 4.

Lake Edward is a recreational lake.  It has a number of resorts and campgrounds one of which is Jolly Rodgers resort and campground.
