Rounds lake is located 5 miles south of Nisswa east of highway 371.  Round Lake is part of the Gull lake chain of lakes, but is looked at by locals as its own separate lake.  Round Lake is over 1600 acres and has a maximum depth of 51 feet.  The water clarity of Round lake is 11.5 feet which is close to average for the Brainerd Lakes area.  Round lake has a public access that is on the south side of the lake. The Gull lake chain can be accessed through a small channel that heads west under highway 371 and drains into Gull lake.

Round lake is a recreational lake with a variety of things to do including boating, swimming, and fishing. Round has a variety of fish which include bullhead, crappie, sunfish, bowfin, bullhead, Burbot, carp, northern pike, largemouth bass, perch and walleye.  Walleyes have been stocked in Round lake since 1976.
