Bay Lake is located in Central Minnesota approximately 4 miles south of Deerwood MN on Hwy 6.

Bay Lake is 2,392 acres has a maximum depth of 74 feet and has a water clarity of 14 feet.  This Minnesota lake has two public accesses. The first lake access is located on the west shore of the northwest bay off of Township Road, south of County Road 14.  The second Minnesota public access on Bay Lake is located on the east shore of the middle bay, at the end of Township Road, west of County Road 10.

Fish include Bullhead, crappie, bluegill, bowfin, sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, rock bass, tullibee, walleye, sucker, and perch.  Walleyes have been stocked since 1967 and currently 1 million fry are stocked annually.

Bay lake is a recreational lake with numerous bays and open areas.  Ruttgers resort is located on the northwest side of the lake and is a well known family owned resort that offers most everything for family activities.  There are more than 20 miles of shoreline on Bay Lake.  Eurasian watermilfoil is present in Bay Lake, but various methods have been used to control this plant.

Bay Lake has a long history. For this reason lake homes do not come on the market that often, which usually brings a premium rate.
